Capital District Business Librarians (CDBL)

The Capital District Business Librarians Group was created in 1991 to improve library services to business by creating opportunities to keep librarians informed about sources of information. CDBL's more than 110 members include people from special, academic, and public libraries. CDBL presents three to four programs annually. Program announcements are distributed to CDBL members, CDLC directors and heads of reference. Library school students are encouraged to attend. Programs are also publicized through relevant electronic mailing lists and select press releases targeted to members of the business community. Please contact CDLC or Pat Markley (markley@siena.edu) for more information.

Capital District Library Retirees Group

Started in Summer 2005, the Capital District Library Retirees Group was formed to meet a need for continuing networking opportunities for area retirees.  Participation in the group is open to all retired members of the library community.  Activities may be planned as the group dictates.  Announcement of meetings is made via the CDLC Retirees List and on the CDLC web site.  Volunteers are needed to lead this group! For more information, or to be added to our Retirees List please contact CDLC at 438-2500.

Reference Services Interest Group

The Reference Services Interest Group (RSIG) is a forum in which librarians of the Capital District come together and share their best practices and approaches to satisfying the informational needs of users. This group seeks to build bridges between individuals and institutions, foster and strengthen a sense of community among those engaged in providing reference services, and bring our collective knowledge and expertise together to better serve library users in our community. Check the CDLC Calendar to see the date of the next meeting.

SLEEK - Librarians' Social Group
