Regional Bibliographic Databases Program (RBDB)

The Regional Bibliographic Databases Program (RBDB) was established in 1984 as part of Education Law. Funds provided for the RBDB Program may be used for a variety of purposes to support regional resource sharing and regional automation. CDLC has used RBDB funds for access projects, retrospective conversion, CaDiLaC, the union list of serials, and other similar projects.

The Regional Automation Advisory Committee (RAAC) is charged with developing regional automation projects in consultation with member libraries. The committee initiates the RBDB application process, reviews applications for funding, and presents recommendations to the CDLC Board of Trustees.

CDLC requires that institutions applying for RBDB grants adhere to current MARC cataloging standards.
